Ellis Ensemble concert on June 2nd

We are delighted to welcome the Ellis Ensemble for our next concert in the Abbey.  Their programme includes music by Mozart, Poulenc and Reinecke.

They were originally a clarinet, bassoon and piano trio, but since there is such a wide variety of music for piano and wind, they decided to expand to include oboe and horn.

They have won critical acclaim for performances at London’s Wigmore Hall and the South Bank Centre, and also at the Moscow Festival, and are much in demand.  They have a  strong commitment to championing traditional works for wind instruments as well as promoting new music by living composers.

They have been selected as ‘Recommended Artists’ by Making Music which MAMS has found in the past to be an excellent source for exciting artists.

You can find out more about them from their website www.ellisensemble.com.

The concert starts at 7.30 in Malmesbury Abbey.  Visit the Concert page for booking details.
